Waceo’s recommendations and proposal on stopping production of TakoToken

Since Saturday May 8, the proposed constitution of the DAO under the aegis of Waceo has been put to the vote of the community until Saturday, May 15.

As it is mentioned in the DAO constitution, and during the live Telegram with the community (Thursday, May 6), once the DAO is constituted and the governance in theory transferred to the community (May 15), it will be possible to submit proposals, to put them to a vote and to have them implemented. The DAO will then assume full responsibilities.

Serving as an advisor to the supervisory committee, Waceo oversees the long-term development of TacoSwap and will ensure that the proposals submitted to a vote comply with the constitution and that the decisions taken can be duly implemented thereafter.

As a result, the Waceo Tokenomics Committee would like to draw your attention to the proposal put to the vote of the community between May 10 and May 12 and entitled: “Are you in favor of stopping production of Taco”.

It seems worthy to highlight several points detailed below:

● We assume this is an omission in the proposal text, and that the author is indeed referring to TacoToken here. (0x41C028a4C1F461eBFC3af91619b240004ebAD216) ?

● We remind the community that it is necessary first to validate the constitution of the DAO before being able to implement the voting on proposals, as long as they are complete and in accordance with the constitution.

● We assume that it is by omission that the proposal is incomplete and does not explain the consequences of an abrupt cessation of production. Indeed, to this day, it is precisely the fact that TacoSwap continues to produce TacoTokens that allow to have interesting yields and to do Yield farming. The sudden cessation, without proposing another development strategy, would have dramatic consequences on the development of TacoSwap. In other words, this is commonly called, to nip in the bud. This proposal does not take into account the consequences of a sudden cessation.

The proposal entitled “Are you in favor of stopping production of Taco” therefore seems incomplete, inadequate and not in conformity with the DAO even though its constitution has not yet been fully validated.

Incomplete > Lack of details in terms, implementation and evolution of the proposal;

Inadequate > The end of the vote regarding the validation of the DAO constitution is May 15. Waceo has taken into account the urgency of transferring governance in principle to the TacoSwap DAO;

Non-Compliant with the Constitution > This proposal is not aligned with the general interest of the DAO and its risks are not clearly explained to the community.

In the future, posted proposals must be complete and in accordance with the constitution.

In conclusion, the Waceo Tokenomics committee proposes to cap the production of TacoTokens and let the community choose the level on which the production should be stopped (to date, the supply of TacoToken is 266,670,969). We propose the following choice of answers:

● 300 000 000

● 320 000 000

● 350 000 000

This proposal will thus allow the Yield Farm to function, to intrinsically give value to the TacoToken, while awaiting the implementation of the migration or an alternative strategy proposed by the community.
